Description

Vocus is advising customers that our Perth to Singapore link is currently offline due to a SMW3 submarine cable fault.
Ethernet services and IP Transit services may experience increased latency to Asian destinations as they are routed through alternate paths.
There is no ETR at this stage.

SMW Cable fault -- SMW3 have advised that they have detected two shunt faults approximately 28km and 231km from Singapore. Cable Ship Asean Explorer is mobilised for the second fault 231km from Singapore with a tentative repair date of 30th May. There is no current schedule to repair the fault nearer to Singapore.

Cable Ship Asean Explorer has arrived at cable ground for the second fault and commenced fault localization.

The updated tentative ETR is currently 1st June.

Please be advised that SMW3 repair work has been completed. Link has now restored and back in production.

All Ethernet and transit traffic, in and out of Singapore, has now been restored on to the direct path.
